Partnership Brokers: School + Business + Community
On 22 August 2012 by admin
The School Business Community Partnership Brokers (Partnership Brokers) program operates nationally and is being implemented by the Australian Government under the National Partnership on Youth Attainment and Transitions.
The objective of the Partnership Brokers program is to build partnerships that support young people to reach their full educational and social potential. The program is based on the principle that supporting young people’s learning and development is a collective responsibility and that partnering is the most effective way for schools, parents and families, business and the broader community to work together.
Partnership Brokers provide tailored support as partners move through the various stages of partnership development. They can assist by identifying potential partners, bringing them to the table and helping them to agree on how they can work together to achieve a common goal.
To learn more about the benefits of a partnership approach and how a Partnership Broker can help, visit the Youth Attainment and Transitions website. The website features a number of success stories which provide practical examples of how partnerships are working in communities across Australia. There is also a short video case study highlighting a partnership that is focused on building parent capacity.
