National Curriculum For Schools Powers Ahead

The proposed new national English curriculum won headlines recently on the grounds that it was to include a systematic approach to grammar.

In the light of that publicity, I thought parents might want to have a look at what’s proposed.

The responsibility for national curriculum in Australian schools is now in the hands of the newly-established Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Its predecessor, the National Curriculum Board, has made substantial progress in producing curriculum in key areas – English, Maths, Science, History -  and you can look at all the relevant material here: http://www.ncb.org.au/communications/publications.html
